Live For Something

Live for something; be not idle-
Look about thee for employ;
Sit not down to useless dreaming-
Labor is the sweetest joy.
Folded hands are ever weary,
Selfish hands are never gay,
Life for thee has many duties-
Live for something, while you may

Scatter blessings in thy pathway!
Gentle words and cheering smiles
Better are than gold and silver,
With their grief-dispelling wiles.
As the pleasant sunshine falleth
Ever on the grateful earth,
So let sympathy and kindness
Gladden well the darkened hearth.

SOME LITTLE FOLKS

There are some little folks that we can never please;
They fret about trifles, they trouble and tease,
Full of discontent, even at play;
Till their friends are worn out, and are heartily glad
When bed-time is come, and each cross lass or lad
Is quiet and out of the way.

There are some little faces so good tempered and sweet
That to see their bright faces is always a treat;
And their friends can quite trust them, they know;
They amuse themselves nicely with some plan or play,
Take care not to worry or get in they way,
And are welcome wherever they go.

I found this poem in a book called CHOICE STORIES FOR CHILDREN. I really like the book. It has a lot of short stories. Sorry about not doing a post lately. We have been busy. Little Lady In Training~

JESUS LIVES

Jesus died but now He lives
Everything we need He gives
So much sin was in the world
Until He died that day
So many sins He washed away

Loudly did the people shout
In Heaven on that day
Verily He shall live forever
Eternally He will reign

Seated at His Father's side

This was my poem for Master Clubs this year (2010).

JESUS MY LORD

JESUS MY LORD

Jesus my Lord is unselfish
Jesus my Lord is true
Jesus my Lord does not steal
Jesus my Lord does not lie
Jesus my Lord cannot sin
Jesus my Lord will forgive you
Jesus my Lord will save you
Jesus my Lord will love you
Jesus my Lord can make you new
Jesus my Lord will listen to your prayer

This is a Poem my sister wrote for Master Clubs Competition. For 3-4 grade she got second place. I like it and decided to post it on my blog. Hope you like it.
